After returning from my brother's wedding where the officiant did not show up on time, I realized the importance of officiating weddings and the value they bring to the start of a couple's marriage. My brother's wedding turned out spectacular because another ordained officiant was in the audience. But the stress my brother and now sister-in-law endured in the moments before a replacement was found was needlessly agonizing for them.
